Midnight on the Moon (#8)
Using our flashcard format for chapter review, we follow Jack and Annie on this trip to the moon! Every chapter has four flashcards to be cut, color coded, and then placed into order. The cards can be used during the reading of the chapter, or afterwards to help comprehension skills. Using these flashcards for various levels of comprehension is encouraged. For the child with a shorter memory, have him hold two cards in his hand as you read. Have him tell you what comes first, put the cards in order, and then place them into the pocket. Then do the second set from that chapter. For the child with a stronger memory, give him all four cards after reading the chapter. Several chapters can be combined also. In this Magic Treehouse story, we learn of astronauts, space suits, constellations and the moon. These make fantastic ways to access your child's reading ability and the child finds them interesting. Flashcards contain a different set of pictures that relate to each chapter. Enjoy this inexpensive yet valuable memory and comprehension set.
