Reading Records are Fortunately For You Books' answer to literature guides. We have taken this traditional tool (which some children may find boring) and turned into something practical, user friendly, fun, and much more approachable for children who hate to write. This book is made up of collections and gatherings of lists, vocabulary words, and questions found within the literature book. Every chapter has a record or a log to be filled out or answered orally. The lists that are given are not to be written in proper sentence form as they are meant to be tools to train the mind and the eye to gather details, sort them out, and record in a note taking method. Making lists is one of the best tools we teach our children and also one of the most common and important tools we use as adults. For children who have no difficulties with comprehension but dread the writing process, making lists is a shorter and less stressful way to get to the same conclusion. We have added vocabulary and basic comprehension questions to this product but keep the focus on list making. All work can be done orally, or switched from oral to written as needed. Graphics are given for the visual learner to make a connection and explain why they are used on the records pages.
